🎯

Champion Focus

The Customer Service Manager Champion gives you fast access to your sales orders. Search by customer, date, status, or any combination of filters. Update order details and add comments -- all with confirmation before any change takes effect.

What You Can Do

Search Sales Orders

Find exactly what you need with flexible queries:

  • Search by status: open, pending, shipped, completed
  • Filter by customer: sold-to, bill-to, or ship-to codes
  • Use date ranges: orders from last week, due this month, past due
  • Combine multiple filters for precise results
  • Sort by any field: order date, due date, status, customer
"Show open sales orders for customer ABC-123"
"Find past due orders at site 10-100"
"Show orders shipped last week"
"Find orders due this month sorted by due date"

Update Sales Order Details

Modify order header fields with full confirmation:

  • Dates: order date, due date, ship date, promised date
  • Customer codes: sold-to, bill-to, ship-to
  • Status fields: action status, hold status
  • Contact information: contact name, phone, email
  • Financial fields: currency, payment terms
  • And many more header fields
"Update due date to March 31 for these orders"
"Change the ship-to customer to CUST-456"
"Update the contact email to [email protected]"

Add Comments

Leave notes on orders for your team:

"Add a comment to SO-041191: Customer requested expedited shipping"
"Note on this order: Awaiting credit approval"

Look Up Reference Data

Check what codes and statuses are available:

"What action status codes can I use?"
"Show me valid site codes"
"What are the available order statuses?"

How It Works

Searching

  1. Describe what you are looking for in plain language
  2. The Champion validates any codes or statuses you mention
  3. Results appear in a table, 10 orders per page
  4. Navigate with "next page", "previous page", etc.
  5. Filters are preserved as you page through results

Updating

  1. Search first -- updates apply to orders from your most recent query
  2. Request the change -- specify which field and what the new value should be
  3. Review the preview -- see exactly what will change
  4. Confirm or cancel -- nothing changes without your approval
  5. Get verification -- the Champion confirms the update

Common Use Cases

Daily Order Review

Scenario: Check on past due orders for follow-up.

You: "Show past due sales orders"
Champion: "Found 14 past due orders:

Order | Customer | Due Date | Status | Amount
           SO-04100 | ACME-CO | 2025-01-15 | Open | $12,450
           SO-04112 | BETA-INC | 2025-01-18 | Pending | $8,200
           ...
Showing 10 of 14 total records"

Customer-Specific Lookup

Scenario: Find all orders for a specific customer.

You: "Show all orders for customer ACME-CO sorted by due date"
Champion: "Found 8 orders for ACME-CO:

Order | Due Date | Status | Amount
           SO-04100 | 2025-01-15 | Open | $12,450
           SO-04205 | 2025-02-01 | Pending | $5,600
           ..."

Updating Order Details

Scenario: Extend the due date on a group of orders.

You: "Update due date to February 28 for these orders"
Champion: "I'll update the due date to 2025-02-28 for 8 orders:
           SO-04100, SO-04205, SO-04210...
           Proceed?"

You: "yes"
Champion: "8 orders updated successfully."

Tips and Best Practices

  • Be specific with dates -- "orders from last month" works, but "orders from January 15 to January 31" is even more precise
  • Search before updating -- the Champion can only modify orders from your most recent search results
  • Use reference lookups when you are unsure of a code: "What action statuses can I use?"
  • Add comments to orders to leave a trail for your team -- no confirmation needed for comments

Troubleshooting

"Invalid status code"

Ask the Champion for valid codes: "What action status codes can I use?" It will show you all available options.

Cannot update orders

  • You must search for orders first -- updates apply to the most recent query results
  • Verify you have write permissions for sales orders
  • Check that the field you want to update is a supported header field

No results found

  • Verify customer codes and site codes are correct
  • Try broadening your date range
  • Check if the order status filter is too restrictive
