Champions

Champion AI includes a suite of specialized Champions designed to handle specific business workflows. Each Champion is purpose-built with domain expertise, specialized tools, and knowledge to assist with particular tasks in your ERP and manufacturing operations.

What Are Champions?

Champions are specialized AI assistants that focus on specific business workflows. Unlike a general-purpose chatbot, each Champion is an expert in its designated area -- it knows the right questions to ask, has access to the right tools, and understands the terminology and processes you use every day.

Every Champion:

  • Understands natural language -- ask questions in your own words, no special syntax required
  • Has access to your data -- connects directly to your ERP or manufacturing systems
  • Confirms before changing anything -- modifications always require your explicit approval
  • Remembers context -- keeps track of what you have discussed within a conversation

How Your Questions Get Answered

When you send a message in Champion, the system determines the best way to respond. There are three possible paths:

  1. No Champions selected -- If your organization has Champion enabled but no specific Champions have been activated, your questions are answered using your product knowledge base (documentation, guides, and reference material uploaded for your organization).

  2. Champions are selected -- When your administrator has activated one or more Champions, your questions are routed intelligently. Champion-matched questions go directly to the right Champion, while general questions are still answered from your knowledge base. You do not need to pick the right Champion yourself -- the system handles routing for you.

  3. Direct Champion interaction -- You can also choose to work with a specific Champion directly through My Champions. Open the chatbot, click "Choose Champion" in the left panel, browse the available Champions, and click "Recruit this Champion" to start a focused conversation. See Choosing Champions for details.

Common Capabilities

All Champions share a set of core capabilities:

Natural Language Queries

Ask questions the way you would ask a colleague:

"Show me purchase orders over $10,000"
"What POs are past due?"
"Find items assigned to buyer SMITH"
"Update budget for January to $50,000"
"Create a requisition for office supplies"

Smart Filtering

Narrow results with simple language:

  • Single filter: "Show pending orders"
  • Multiple filters: "Show pending orders for customer ABC at site 10-100"
  • Date ranges: "Find orders from last month"
  • Complex conditions: "Show items with no commodity code at site 10-100"

Safety Confirmations

Before any data modification, Champions always:

  1. Show you what will change -- a clear summary of the affected records
  2. Ask for your approval -- nothing happens until you say "yes"
  3. Confirm the result -- verify the update was applied successfully

Pagination

Large result sets are displayed in manageable pages. Navigate with simple commands like "next page", "previous page", or "show the last page".

Context Memory

Within a conversation, Champions remember your previous searches, selected entities, and pending changes so you do not have to repeat yourself.

Best Practices

Be Specific

The more detail you provide, the better the results:

Vague: "Show me some orders"
Better: "Show pending sales orders for customer ABC-123 due this month"

Review Before Approving

When a Champion asks for confirmation, take a moment to:

  1. Read the summary of what will change
  2. Verify the record count and values
  3. Make sure you are updating the right records
  4. Respond clearly with "yes" or "no"

Stay in Scope

Each Champion is an expert in its own area. If you need help with a different workflow, start a new conversation with the appropriate Champion rather than asking one Champion to do another's job.
